Dish Network’s Exclusive ViP922 SlingLoaded DVR: Watch TV Anytime, Anywhere

Dish Network is selling The Dish ViP922 SlingLoaded DVR to stores since April 7, 2010. The Dish ViP922 is said to be the future of TV viewing where subscribers can watch their favorite shows literally anytime, anywhere.

The black and sleek ViP922 DVR receiver is loaded with the Sling technology where the Satellite TV Company’s subscribers can watch high-definition TV at home or over a high-speed internet-ready computers or mobile device.

The ViP922 features a multi-tuner DVR with up to 1,000 hours of recording time. It allows the users to record myriads of shows for future viewing with the ability to pause and rewind TV shows as they please. They can also watch pre-recorded shows while recording two more of their favorite TV programs. They can manage their DVR and record their favorite shows easily with the Dish Remote Access.

The award-winning DVR also allows the viewers to search thousands of listings in the Program Guide, DVR and Video on Demand quickly with its graphical on-screen display. Selections screen can be set according to program titles, descriptions or actors for instant results. They can also browse different channels according to their respective familiar network logos that are available in the Satellite TV package they have.

  • Compatible with resolutions of 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i (1080p for applicable Video-on-Demand where resolution may vary depending on programming)

  • View HD and SD programming (where an HD receiver allows viewing of subscribed SD programming or channels)
  • Picture-in-picture (PIP) feature so you can watch two things on one screen
  • View over-the-air digital SD and HD broadcasts (requires optional over-the-air module)*
  • On-screen Caller ID with history for subscribers with caller ID subscription with local phone company.
  • Supports External Hard Drives which currently allows transfer contents to ViP922 only.
  • Video-on-demand (VOD) so you can choose from thousands of movies titles or TV shows
