I currently have Comcast and I'm happy with the service but the price is outrageous. I know Direct TV is a lot cheaper but I am trying to find out if Direct TV is any good or better than Comcast?

If you do a careful study of all of the costs and fees, you'll most likely find that Comcast and DirecTV expenses are rather close. I have two friends with Direct TV. Their channel packages are similar to what I had on Comcast, and our costs were within 5 to 10 % of each other. One paid a little more than me, one paid a little less.

Keep in mind that if you dump Comcast, you also dump your Internet connection if that's what you're using for Internet. Of course, you can always replace it with DSL at more or less the same price.

Bottom line: compare all related costs carefully, with apples-to-apples comparisons. You’ll find a significant savings with Direct TV.
